About me

I'm Sergej Irchin, an IT leader and advisor based in Vilnius. For more than 20 years I have worked in IT management, infrastructure and security. I was IT Director for the Baltics at the Carlsberg group and CIO for the Baltics at Compensa Vienna Insurance Group, and I founded and ran my own company. Since 2018 I have worked independently: through UAB Irchin I help companies in Lithuania and abroad as a fractional CIO and IT strategy and infrastructure advisor.

My approach is simple: regulation is not the goal but an opportunity to fix what matters to the business anyway. Security measures should match the real risk and the size of the company, and documents should reflect what actually happens.
